Schools Reunion Dance
Crowds of folk from all over the district turned up for the King’s College-Auckland Grammar Old Boys dance in the Parochial Hall last night, and, thanks to the organisers and their able committee, the evening went with a swing that could only spell success. The lion rampant and the maroon and gold badge of King’s College were predominantly displayed round the walls, whilst streamers of the two school colours were intermingled in the centre for the maypole.
Dance music was played by Mr Ces Wright and his band, and the members of the committee were: —Mrs A. H. Crane (convenor), black ninon; Mrs Cecil Tills, pale grey georgette over pink; Mrs A. M. Hart, black taffeta; Mrs J. L. S. Horrell, blue lace; Mrs H. Cotter, black lace; Mrs W. C. Coote, green shot taffeta; Mrs L. A. Johnson, black and gold taffeta; Mrs E. Gumming, flame cloque; Mrs Athol Steadman, scarlet crepe; Mrs W. T. Sur« man, jade green taffeta; Mrs Cullen Finlayson, black taffeta.
