A very successful sale of work was held in the Maraerqa hall in aid of the Okaihau Plunket Society. The following ladies were an charge of stalls: Mcsdames J. Horne. K. Robinson, J. Lowe, J. Penney. H; Lock, H. Anderson. C. Cameron, A. Faithful!, R. Smith and G. Nicholison; A sum of £l2 14/- was raised.; Miss M. Coutts.. of. .Devonport, has taken up a position with the firm of Mr A. J. Rowsell. I : Mrs W, S. Auger, of Maungatapere, has been the guest of Mrs T, O’Hagan, of Lome Street.
