Mexico Will Continue Expropriation

NEW YORK. August 27. The Supreme Court, says a Mexico City message, in a test case, ruled against the oil company in regard to the Mexican Government’s seizure of petroleum properties. This is the second adverse finding by the court against the company’s demands for the return of the properties, and is believed to indicate that the constitutionality of the seizure will not be reversed. The United States Department declined to comment on reports that further American owned land in Mexico had been expropriated to the value of 25,000,000 dollars. Informed observers are of the opinion that a new campaign must be considered, .as Mexico appears to feel that she can pursue her expropriation programme without fear of any worse consequence than a reprimand.
