Whangarei Dairy Co.’s Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of shareholders of the Whangarei Co-op. Dairy Company, Limited, was held in Whangarei yesterday, there being a fairly large attendance. Mr E. S. Tremaine, chairman of directors, presided. Little discussion arose out of the meeting, the annual report and balance sheet being adopted without comment. The meeting was unusually short, .all business being completed before 1 p.m.
It was decided to pay out a dividend of 2\ per cent on share capital, together with deferred payment of 25-16 d per lb. on all eligible butterfat supplied during the season ended June 3C, 1938, plus a further payment of id per lb.'on all butterfat supplied during the season, both payments being made simultaneously yesterday. This would give an average payout over all grades of 14.51 Id, to which would be added the supplementary payment, making a total average payment of 15.01 Id.
Mr A. L. Pike was re-apopinted auditor at a remuneration of 40 guineas.
