Concert at Hospital

Last evening some of the patients at 'the Whangarei Public Hospital were entertained for an hour by tho memdoers of the Male Choir, a dozen strong, under Mr George Woolley, with Mr Marsdcn Woods at the piano. The party rendered a varied programme of part songs and glees, while solos wore sung by , three of their members, Messrs. L. Booth, L. P. I.c Reuz and C. Turner,

Mr 1,. T. Pickmere. who, unfortunately is a patient at present, in thanking the choir on behalf of the patients, said how much such efforts, as well as these organised by Madame Brainsby and others, were appreciated by the patients. They helped to break the monotony, and give the sick something, to talk about, and brightened them up generally.
