The Soldiers’ Hall at Kawakawa was the scene of gay revelry on

Thursday night when what must have been almost a record crowd attended a dance organised to raise funds in aid of (be Anglican Church. The function was an outstanding success from every point of view, and the church funds will be augmented by nearly £2O as a result. Much credit is due to the willing band of workers for their efforts in organising and decorating the hall and the excellent supper arrangements which were responsible for the success of the evening. Coloured balloons, streamers and greenery, were the basis of a tasteful decorative scheme, which gave a very pleasing effect to the ballroom. Mr H. P. Rouse was M.C.
