Tribute to Mr. W. H. White

At the meeting of the Hokianga Hospital Board on Monday night, the following resolution was passed as a tribute to Mr W. H. White on his retirement from the position of chairman:—“That this board place on record its appreciation of the services rendered by Mr W. H. White during the 11 years of his chairmanship.”

Assuming office just prior to the opening of the new hospital, he was responsible very largely for the restaffing of this institution. The slump years added greatly to" his responsibilities, and the board fully appreciates his work on behalf of the patients, staff and the ratepayers. That he may continue to give of his knowledge and experience in the future administration of the board’s business is the wish of each and all of his fellow members.
