Winter Sports Resort Burned
(Received 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Chatel, winter sports resort, 11 miles up the summit from Hotel Kosciusko, was totally destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. The damage is estimated at £40,000. Sixtyfive people, including 55 women, were staying at the Chatel, and trudged back to Hotel Kosciusko through the heaviest snow storm for years. All equipment w,as destroyed by fire.
