Last year Mr Grant put out 20 odd of his tail-end Jersey Cows and replaced them with tip-top Shorthorn Cows. opened negotiations to play football for them between members of that club and L. Terorc, a five-eighth of the Northern Wairoa Rugby representative team, which beat Otamatea for the Harding Shield on Saturday. It is understood that the offer made provision for permanent employment in Auckland, in the event of the Rugby player accepting the terms. Terore said that he w.as refusing the offer for this season at least.
