MRS ELSIE MACE, who has been missing from her home in Bernard Street, Highland Park, Wellington, since 3.30 a.m. on July 24. She was clothed in a pink nightgown, probably a bed-jacket, and a dark red flannel dressing-gown. and bed-socks with fancy lace up the front. Mrs Mace was quite normal when she retired, but was recovering from an attack of influenza. A medical man is of the opinion that when she opened the door of the house, the sudden shock of the cold southerly which was blowing, coming on top of the influenza, caused something to snap in the brain, so that Mrs Mace will probably be suffering from loss of memory. She is aged 43, about sft. 4in. in height, slight build, arms and neck well tanned, her hair dark, turning grey.
