N.Z’s Wild Week-end: Swept by Fierce Storm Snow, Gale and Rain
rpHE DOMINION WAS SWEPT BY FIERCE WEATHER CONDITIONS DURING THE WEEK-END. HEAVY SNOW WAS EXPERIENCED IN THE SOUTH ISLAND AND IN A NUMBER OF AREAS IN THE NORTH ISLAND.
The temperature was unusually low and a high gale was bitterly cold Heavy rain caused flooding, and some landslides are reported.
