t Per Press association. Copyright.'] WELLINGTON, This Day. Representatives of almost all religious denominations attended a mass meeting in the Town Hall. Wellington, last night in connection with the Wellington Diocesan Centennial appeal for £300.000, including £200,000 for the Cathedral, Synod hall and Diocesan buildings in Wellington, and £ 100,000 for the Bishop’s fighting fund to overcome the shortage of man power and of adequate buildings for the work of the church in the diocese. Bishop Holland presided. The hall was two-thirds filled. The speakers included the Venerable Archdeacon Bullock, the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, the Mayor of Wellington, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, the Hon. W. Nash, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, the Rev. P. J. Wainwright, Lady Pornare and Bishop Holland.
