The chief features of the work at Eilerslie this morning were a halfmile spring by Fleetwind. five furlongs by Falmint. and six furlongs by Alyth. The weedier was fine, though dull, and No. 2 grass, on which the poles were live feet out. was greasy after overnight rain. Gloucester and White Mark, a filly by Vaals from Miss Melva. were sprinted two furlongs, from the six to the four, taking 25 4-3 seconds. Falmint finished in front of Tybalt at the conclusion of five furlongs run in 1.5 1-5, the first two being covered in 25 2-5 seconds. Tane Mahutu strode over six .furlongs, averaging 13 seconds to the furlong. Summary and the Musketoon-Croy-don Lass gelding in R. S. Bagby’s stable reeled off three furlongs in 39 4-5 seconds. The latter is showing a fair amount of pace. Te Hai covered seven furlongs in 1.3 G 4-5. He was doing his work nicely at the finish. Electric Spear cantered to the threefurlong post and ran home in 40 1-5 seconds. Valmint was allotted useful work, but was not after time. Fleetwind’s Smart Effort. The best sprint of the morning wis registered by Fleetwind, who reeled

Ore mi a strode over six furlongs in 1,26 4-5. and My Money and Jodie Dance traversed a round in 1.58 1-3. the last six furlongs taking 1.28. A novae, The Ace. from Valspar. showed dash while sprinting three furlongs in 40 4-5 seconds. Illumani did strong work over a lound. but had no pace on until the last three furlongs, which she covered in 42 1-5 seconds. Over the latter distance. RingshC. and Hotshot occupied 1C 3-5 seconds. Alyth in Good Nick. Alter running her first three furlongs in 39 seconds, Alyth was going well at the conclusion of six, which teak 1.19 3-5. This mare is in good order for her engagement at Matamata on Saturday. Trilliarch finished in front of Odtaa at Che end of three furlongs in 39 2-5 seconds. Trilliarch is improving. Kilonsa and Land Girl were timed to run the last half-mile of their work on the sand in 57 1-5 seconds, doing it very easily. Armacourt and Atta Jack ran six furlongs on the sand in 1.31. The Jumpers. Aranda was sent over the steeplechase fences on the flat. He gee In too close to the stone wall the first time and hit it hard, but apart from that his shewing was good. Tane Mahutu was sent over the same obstacles and made no mistakes. He fenced much faster than on previous occasions. Gay Cavalier also schooled over the same country, giving a very satisfactory exhibition.
