Otago - Southland Dissatisfied
Hockey
[Per Press Association. Copyright .1 - DUNEDIN, This Day.
Strong protest against the action of the New Zealand Hockey Association's selectors in their choice of the team to meet the Indian team was made at a meeting of the Otago association on the grounds that reasonable consideration had apparently not been given to the claims of Otago and Southland players for inclusion in the test team. •
It was stated that the Southland association had a similar grievance. It was decided to ask for the support of that body in a protest to be made to the New Zealand association regarding the methods'of selection.
