N. Wairoa Calf Pool

[Special to “Northern Advocate.”} DARGAVILLE, This Day.

Settlers, having secured the required 80 per cent of sanctions from suppliers within the Ruawai Co-opera-tive Dairy Company's colection area, have formed a co-operative calf pool. The following committee has been appointed:—Chairman, Mr G. Robinson; committee. Messrs E. K. Hames, J. Gent, N. Walker, O. Mooney, F. N. Simpson, J. L. Bowkett, F. Anson, J. F. Coates; secretary, Mr C, Robinson. The committee is immediately proceeding with the organisation of the pool, with a view to commencing operations on July 18.

The establishment of a bobby calf pool in the Northern Wairoa Co-op. Dairy Company Limited’s district is to be abandoned this year on account of the failure to obtain the approval of 80 per cent of the suppliers. This decision was made at a meeting of directors of the company, who have been acting as a provisional committee.
