Gardening Club
The Ladies’ Gardening Club met for its fortnightly meeting in the Masonic Temple Hall on Monday. July 4. Mrs Webber presided over a fair attendance and introduced Mrs Finch, who repeated her interesting lecture on herbaceous borders, for the benefit of those members who were not fortunate enough to hear her on the previous occasion. Excellent advice was given as to soil and manures needed and plants and position necessary, while the lecturer illustrated her talk with a number of photographs and actual plants. Afternoon tea hostesses were Mesdames R. Drummond. Almond. N. Brown, W. C. Coote, G. Dent and the Misses Clark-Walker and Davidson. Instant attention will end its hold, Don’t let the symptoms of “flu” unfold, Don’t waste a moment in anxious doubt. Get what is certain to ease it out. Don’t be persuaded from what is best For checking symptoms in throat or chest, Don’t be mistaken, be firm and sure— Nothing but Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure. 2
