Tuatara Lizard For England

[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] • DUNEDIN, This Day. The steamer Port Hardy, which sailed from Port Chalmers this afternoon to fill up at northern ports, has on board a live tuatara lizard for England. The Otago University is sending the lizard to the Professor of Anatomy at Leeds University. A special permit has been issued for it to leave New Zealand, and the permit has to be produced before it can be landed in England. Dr. W. E. Adams, who is joining the vessel at Wellington, will look after the lizard on the voyage.
