Farmer Says State Should Support Blind Institute
“I think it 'a scandal that the Blind Institute had to go cap in hand round the country seeking money,” declared Mr G. Austin, when discussing a request for assistance towards the institute at the annual meeting of the Hikurangi Dairy Company yesterday. The present Government professes to cater for invalids and the poor, and is not ashamed of admitting it." continued Mr Austin. “This matter should bo referred to the Govern-
