THE DAMAGED PENANG.—When the barque Penang arrived at the wharf at Port Chalmers on Tuesday it was possible to estimate the damage done during the recent gale. This picture shows the. main topmast and top-gallant dragging in the water. The damage occurred on June 1, when the Penang was about 500 miles off the New Zealand coast in the course of her voyage from Australia to London with a cargo of grain.
