Mrs. Eleanor Riddiford

Fatal head injuries were received by Mrs Eleanor Caroline Riddiford. widow of Mr S. Edward Joshua Riddiford, in a collision with a motor van while crossing the read to her heme at Lower Hut I about 5.40 p.m. yesterday. Mrs Riddiford was unconscious when picked up. and died at her home about two hours later without regaining consciousness. The deceased was well known for her acts of charity during the war. She did great service at Walton-on*-Thames. London.
