Mr R. Coates has been appointed the Otamatea County Council’s representative on the No. 1 District Highways Council. At Wednesday’s meeting of the Otamatea County Council, the clerk, Mr E, G. Aickin, was given permission to serve as one of the North Auckland Electric Power Board’s Depreciation Fund Commissioners.
Advice has been received by Mr F. B. Stephens, Research Officer of the Department of Internal Affairs, of his election to membership of the International Institute of Public Finance, Paris. This is limited to relatively few persons, and confined to those who have made some distinct contribution o the science or practice of public finance.
