Harbour Board Bank Balance
The bank balances of the Whangarei Harbour Board on current account and on fixed deposit as at May 10 were £2373 17/6 and £3021 respectively, stated the secretary, Mr W. M. Fraser, when submitting his report for April to the board’s meeting today. Cash received during the month totalled £IOO7 13/1, made up of:— Harbour improvement rate (Whangarei), £BOS 8/4; harbour improvement rate (Whangaruru), 12/4; goods wharfage (Whangarei), £lll 12/6; port charges (Whangarei), £7l 19/6; port charges (Whangaruru), 1/6; berthage dues, £0 1/11; rents, £8; slipway charges, £1 17/-; sale material, £1; demurrage, 10/-; sales of firewood, 10/-. Reimbursements totalled £l2 12/5, bringing the total up to £IO2O 5/6.
