Taranaki matched victory from Wellington in the'annual representative Rugby match at Ha worn yesterday afternoon by 9 points to 8. The standard of play was patchy, and the tackling of both sides was decidedly weak.
With a view to assisting the sole selector, Mr F. W. Lucas, in his choice of a represetative team to play Waikato at Hamilton on Monday week, the Auckland Rugijy Union arranged a trial matph between Possibles and Probables teams at E*den Park yesterday afternoon. The Probables won by 29 points to 15.
