Jessie Matthews, one of the most popular of British 'actresses, definitely excels her previous show of talent in the stirring musical drama. “Sparkles. ’ screening finally at. the Regent tonight. The story is an appropriate one for Jessie Matthews to reveal 'all her charm and personality. It centres round the adventures of a woman jewel thief, who is pursued by a police officer, and a woman reporter. This alone is sufficient to warrant enough entertainment for one night. Throughout the film there are amusing. and at times, hilarious moments, and the fast-moving drama brings out I the ability of the strong supporting cast to best 'advantage. Jessie Matthews will bo more popular still after 'this picture has been seen. With it go a first-class round of supporting shorts.
