Ahipara Fire is Suppressed
j There was an outbreak of, lire; in the : house of Mr G. Allen, of Ahipara, on Sunday afternoon, the building narrowly escaping destruction. | It is thought that some embers must have dropped from the open fireplace and set alight to some matting. The fire was ultimately got under control, but not before it had done con--1 siderable damage to the walls of the 1 room and to the furniture.
