Gated yesterday that he had received news from a number of British matin fad i trees expressing appreciation of the recent tariff amendments, and staling that it was a practical gesture io British mchislry, and would ensure for Great Britain a greater measure of trade in many classes ol goods not manufacturable in New Zealand.
