Maungakaramea

The May mooting of the W.D.F.U. was held at the residence of Mrs G. A. Harvey on the 9th inst. Mrs Harvey, the president, was in the chair. There a good attendance. After business had been dealt with, Mrs H. T. Snell, of Whangarei, demonstrated the making of a quilted cushion. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Snell. Hostesses for lunch were all the members. Mr and Mrs R. Goodchap and Miss Barbara Goodchap, of Hawera. left by Wednesday’s express for Auckland, where they will stay for a while before proceeding home. While in the district they were the guests of Mr and Mrs T. E. Porter
