The Egmont facing Club’s winter meeting was concluded on Saturday at Hawera, in overcast weather. There was a good attendance, and the totalisator returns for the day were £16,714, as against £15,615 for the same day last year, an increase of £1099.

Davidson Handicap, of 250 sovs,; nine furlongs.—(3) Slippery, 7.0, 1; (1) Ned Cuttle, 8.4, .2; (2) Dutch Girl, 7.8, 3. Scr,: Wotan, Naughty Marietta. Three lengths each way. Time: 2.1.
