The annual meeting of the Nelson Jockey Club was concluded to-day in ideal weather. There was a large attendance, but »he track was on the dead side. Results:—
Trial Stakes, of 70 sovs.; special weights; six furlongs.—(6) Mother-in-Law, 1; (2) Silver Fox, 2; (1) Esperance Bay, 3. Scr.: Monty Loo, Day Miss. A length; half a length. Time: 1.22 1-5.
Moutere Trot, of 93 sovs.; 1-|- miles. —(2) Evora, 48 yds., 1; (1) Travisque, 48 yds., 2; (4) Guy Zolock, 60 yds., 3. Scr.: Count Parrish, Cam Dillon, Loyal Avis. A length; half a length. Time: 3.35.
Motueka Handicap, of 95 sovs.; seven furlongs.—(3) Clubman, 8.6, 1; (1) Earl Colossus, 10.0, 2; (5) Jewish Lad, 7.9, 3. Scr.; Lustral, Arrowglen. A length; two lengths. Time: 1.33 3-5.
Redwood Handicap, of 120 sovs'; one mile.—(4) Liane, 8.10, 1; (1) Mishua, 8.0, 2; (3) Might, 8.7, 3. Half a length; half a length. Also started: Round Score, Siegmund, Bon Tray. Time—--1.47.
