N.Z. Wool Cheque Will Total About £9,000,000

[Special To “Northern Advocate”) AUCKLAND, Ths Day. Only one wool auction remains to complete this season’s schedule. It is estimated that, after the Wellington sale tomorrow, which will complete this year’s list, growers in New Zealand will receive slightly more than £9.000.000. last year’s, total was £14,903,257. This season’s total will probably be slightly less than the £9,840.437 recorded in 1935-36. Lower prices have undoubtedly been partly attributable this year to the lack of Japanese and American competition. Without these two keen competitors. Bradford and the Con'inent and local mills could offer lower bids. The total return in 1932-33 was £4.239,720; in 1933-34, £10.241.041; in. 1934-35. £4,401.010; in 1935-36, £9,840.127; in 1936-37, £14.903,257; and in 1937-38 the estimate is £9,100,000,
