[Special To “Northern Advocate .” 3 WELLINGTON. This Day. In the north-east corner of the Rongotai Aerodrome reserve there is being erected the largest hangar in the Wellington district. This is to house the new Air Force Blackburn Baffin bombers. The new hangar, designed by the Government architect, Is to be a huge building, with a frontage to the aerodrome of 129 feet, a depth of 80 feet, and a height at the rear of about 60 feet. The contractor was given 10 weeks at Christmas time to complete the job. That time is exhausted, and there is still much to do. This delay, however, is attributed to a shortage of carpenters. and, at present, there are not half the men on Iho job that there should be normally.
