SOUTH ISLAND GOLF TOURNEY ABANDONED
Owing to heavy pain rendering the course unplayable, the South Island amateur golf championship tournament which was to have commenced today, has been abandoned.

BOXING
Boxing of a high standard was witnessed at the Auckland Town Hall on Saturday night, when the University boxing tourney took place. The Boxing Shield, which has been held by Canterbury for the past two years, was won by Otago. Auckland being runner-up, and Victoria third. Canterbury failed badly, not gaining a single victory.
