Germany Asks U.S. About Helium
(Received 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 16,
As- Germany’s new zeppelin is nearing completion, Berlin has formally asked the United States Government what it proposes to do about helium. Previously, arrangements had been made to sell 18,000,000 cubic feet to Germany, but the Secretary of the Interior, Mr H. L. Ickes, held up the sale, on the grounds that helium was of military value.
