Mr Joffro Lane, 'a single man, aged 22, a station hand on the Horehore station, North Tokomaru Bay, was believed to have been drowned on Saturday morning, while crossing a tributary of the Mata River. His horse was found on the bank of the stream which was in hood. The crossing was dangerous,. No sign of the body lias been found
