N.Z. Butter Is 1/Dearer Than Danish

[Special To “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day.

A further rise in the price of New Zealand and Australian butter oa the London market is reported. New Zealand and Austrlian finest butters are quoted at the close of this week’s business at 125/- per cwt., this being 1/higher than the price of Danish. The prices are being maintained, on a firm market.

For only a few weeks between January and early February the market for New Zealand butter this year has been below the guaranteed price. The current quotation is the equivalent of 14.94 d per lb,, f.0.b., comparing with the guaranteed price of 13.25 d per lb., f.0.b.. or 112/- per cwt. as the guaranteed price.
