Spotlight on ... Lord Snell

Lord Snell is the Labour Leader of the House of Lords, who took 'a leading part in the debate on the Foreign Secretary’s policy statement. Born in 1865, he was createdBaron Snell of Plumstead in 1931, and was sworn a member of the Privy Council in 1937. As Mr Henry Snell, he was a county councillor for London fromi 1919-25, and Mas been chairman since 1934.
