Wool in Keen Demand At London ■—<*>> : (Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 29. At the wool sales 6499 bales were offered, including 3708 bales of New Zealand. There were 5527 bales sold. There was an average selection and a keen demand. A good clearance was effected, with recent rates being well maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbreds, Wharanui, 9:,d to lOJd; Mangatoi, 9.id to 10id.

The German Dornier flying-boat. DO 18, which left England on March 27 to attack the record for the 6000 miles flight to Buenos Ayres, landed at Caravellas, 450 miles to the northeast, after a flight of over 5000, miles ‘ from Dartmouth. It was presumably short of petrol.
