Danes Discuss Defence Augmentation
(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, March 29. The Social Democratic and Radical groups in the Danish Parliament are discussing the augmentation of Denmark’s defence, says the Copenhagen correspondent of “The Times.” Probably they will agree to an internal loan of £2,083,333, half to purchase stores of food, coal and oil in the event of a war preventing the entry of supplies from abroad, and half to provide for civil air raid defences, new army, naval and Air Force material, and the construction of refuges in Copenhagen.
