No Decision Yet On Austrian Refugee Problem

Asked in the blouse of Commons whether he intended to propose to the League Council that Austrian refugees should be placed under the League’s protection, the Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, said the British Government was giving consideration to this question, the Importance of which it fully appreciated. He was not in.' a position yet to make a statement. Italy has turned down President Roosevelt’s proposal for giving sanctuary to Austrian and German poliPcal refugees, owing to the character of international policies.
