Wanganui Wool Prices on Par With Auckland

[Per Press Association. Copyright . 3 WANGANUI, This Day. Prices at the Wanganui final wool sale today were generally on a par with the Auckland sale last week. Average crossbred fleecy wool showed an advance from Id to Ud, compared with last month’s Wanganui sale. The rise was not noticeable in the finer grades of wool. Twenty-two thousand bales were offered at auction. Japan was back in the market, and took a prominent part in the buying. Both Bradford and the Continent bought freely. Good lambs’ wool sold well, but short and inferior sorts were erratic, and showed a marked decline on the previous sale. Passings were few.
