Ararua Tennis
j On Friday evening a tennis dance i was held in the Ararua hall. Owing !to numerous counter attractions. | there were not a great many present, ■ but a very enjoyable evening resulted. Music for the dancing was played by Mr and Mrs Walbrldgo’s orchestra, and, Mr IT. Smith acted as M.C. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss N. Smith and Mr R. Millward. The annual meeting of the Ararua Basketball club was held on Monday, when Mrs P, Stratford presided. A I very successful first year was ex peri- ! enced by the club, and it was decided I again to enter a team in the Otama- ! tea competitions. The election of officers resulted.— President. Mrs A. C.
