Where Ignorance Is Bliss

[Per Press Association. — Copyright ,] AUCKLAND, This Day. Criticism of a city schoolteacher who was reported to have taken a class of children to the Supreme Court during the recent criminal sessions to givcthem an insight into civic life was expressed by members of the Educa - tion Board to-day. It was stated that the; teacher had embodied the court visit in the special hot-weather curriculum advised by the Education Department. Members expressed the opinion that there were plenty of opportunities for studying civic life without bringing the sordid side before children. Although members made it clear that they did' not approve of the teacher’s action, no motion was passed.
