Perils In Palestine
' (Received 2.30 p.n „) HAIFA, January 28. A Jewish policeman has been sentenced to death for the murder of an Arab colleague as a reprisal for the murder of two Jews. The Jerusalem correspondent of ‘"The Times” states that in spite of the enrolment of 800 Jewish volunteer patrols, the Hebrew community is apprehensive owing to repeated attacks on the main road, resulting in deaths and mutilation. Heavy rain hampers the British troops in the Hebron district. An. Arab boy was fatally shot.
