Girl Missing From Rotorua

Searching inquiries have tailed to reveal the whereabouts of a young quarter-caste Maori girl, June Marsh. 13-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs C. A. Marsh, of Tutanekai Street North, who was reported missing in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The Rotorua police have circulated a description of the girl to all police stations throughout the North Island, while messages have been sent out by the national broadcasting station IYA. According to a statement .made to the police by the father, Cecil Alfred Marsh, fish dealer, of Tutanekai, the girl was supposed to have retired for the night at 9 o’clock on Monday, but it was later discovered that she had not gone to bed. After a search through the streets of Rotorua. Mr Marsh reported the girl’s disappearance to the police at 1 a.m. The distraught parents are anxious for the girl’s safety and any person knowing her whereabouts, or having knowledge of her movements since Monday night, are asked to report to the Rotorua police. The girl is sft. lin. in height, has long dark hair, usually done in plaits, and when last seen was wearing a light house dress of blue colour.
