SUPERANNUATION PLAN BEING ROUNDED OFF

It is expected that the Cabinet will give final consideration to the National superannuation plan next week. This was indicated by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, jn an interview.

“Good pi’ogress has been made with the preparation of the scheme for national superannuation,” Mr Savage said. “The Cabinet has discussed the subject on several occasions recently, with the result that the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, and experts, are now putting on paper the basic principles of the Government’s plan, together with financial details. “The question should come before the Cabinet next week for conclusive consideration. Legislation giving to the national superannuation scheme will certainly be submitted to Parliament early in March.”
