Play was resumed on some of the 'greens to-day in the singles championship of the Australian bowling carnival. which was interrupted by rain last Friday and Saturday. There were, i however, many forfeits, due to players | either realising their chances were ’ hopeless, or to the greater appeal of i the city pageant. Scores were missing ! to-night from several of the greens. } The following New' Zealanders j reached the final of the second round: i Hosking won 21-11; Bray lost 15-21; i Belcher won 21-9; Griffiths received a forfeit; Layzell forfeited; Clarke lost 115-21; Leach won 21-19; Maccy won i 21-8; Clarkson received a forfeit; Wilkinson lost 17-21.
