Mining Regulations Being Prepared
[Special To. “Northern Advocate” ] WELLINGTON, This Day.
Regulations are being prepared to give effect to the provisions contained in the new mining legislation passed by Parliament last session, including the coalmine legislation and that dealing with mining laws generally ■ and petroleum research and exploitation.
The Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, stated in an interview that it was intended during the present year to overhaul the regulations made under the Mining Act and also, if possible, the Stone Quarries Act.
