School Starts Again S®®». Next Tuesday thousands of primary school children throughout Northland will be hurriedly collecting dusty books and bags and setting out on the road which leads to the school, and the glorious six weeks of freedom will be a memory. A week later, on February 8, the Whangarei High School will be a hive of industry once again, and the corridors and class rooms .which have been silent for so long will resound with moving, feet and voices. New boys and girls will, after the fashion of years, be subjected to close and careful scrutiny and questioning, and probably not a few boarders will be thinking of home and past pleasures. On the other hand, there are few boys and girls to-day who do not enjoy their school life, for even holidays can become tedious. Going to school means, meeting old friends and new ones, and the methods of teaching pregvent the art of learning from be--8 'oming a mere drudgery. A careful combination of study and sport make the school life of most young people an interesting and varied experience. For parents, too, the commencement of the school year is -a momentous occasion. Some fathers and mothers will watch with feelings of regret as their youngest sets forth to entpr on a’ now stage of life which marks the end of baby-
