NORTHLAND TRIBE

“Advocate” Office. Water St.. Whangarei, Tuesday. January 11, 1938. Hollo Everybody— We’ve got a secret ! It’s no use asking me what it is, for I’ve promised very solemnly not to tell. Really there are several secrets—-all to do with our Club. 1938 is going to be a. very exciting year 1 can tell you. But that’s all I CAN tell you, at present. You’ll have to wait a while for any more news—perhaps until Kupe and I come back from our special holiday next month. Of course Kupe may tell you a little bit before then, but I rather think he’ll wait for a while until his plans are quite perfect, I hope I haven’t made you too curious, but truly, that’s all I’m allowed to tell you—except that there’s lots of fun and lots of work and lots of chances of “bringing sunshine’’ ahead of us all and that our country Northlanders are to ) have a. particularly large slice of the fun this year. Remember last week I suggested a senior group of ex-members? One of them has written a very enthusiastic reply—it's printed in to-day’s page: I hope all our ex-members will see it and let me know their opinions. I think it’s a splendid idea and I’d like to see it definitely established. Hope you are still enjoying holidays, Northlanders. Cheerio till next week.

Princess, Northland Tribe.
