The butter market in London is reported to be firm this week. Cabled quotations state as follows: Danish, 140 per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand, 112/; Australian, 109/ to HO/; unsalted New Zealand, 113/ to 114/; Australian, 110/ to 111/.
The cheese market is quiet, with New Zealand white, 65/ per cwt; coloured. 66/ to 66/6; Australian, white, 62 to 63/; coloured, 63/ to 64/. The basic rate under the quaranteed price scheme for New Zealand produce. subject to differentials in quality, are 123/8 for butter and 70/4J for cheese per cwt, f.0.b., New Zealand currency.
